Sketchbook Tour I : January - June 2018
I have a habit of checking in with my work every six months or so. I like to look at my work as a collection, and take notes about what growth and trends it has taken on. 2018 is a strange year for me with art since I took a break from creating last year. Not only was I a bit out of practice, but I was taking on a new medium to my practice, watercolor. So when January rolled around and I finally got back into my artsy groove I wasn't entirely sure what my work would become. This exploration started with familiar images that I like making, such as mushrooms of all shapes and sizes. From there I began exploring architecture, pets, and other animals. The animals have seemed to keep coming up and I have so enjoyed creating everything from bears to flamingos. I'm going to keep this momentum going through the rest of the year and see what fun ways I can celebrate wildlife.
